TV Series Review: Falling Skies (Season 2)

FALLING SKIES opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force.

REVIEW:
I remember telling that i found the first season of Falling Skies a little boring and less action packed than what i was expecting. Still i was quite excited(maybe because there was nothing else playing?:p) about the second season, especially after we actually saw the aliens at the end of Sn.1. And not only that, but it seems like the writers heard us!

Second season starts a few months after the 1st season ends. The story goes a little more complicated, since Ben doesn't seem completely disconnected from the aliens and there is something serious going on with the red-eye alien.

This time the season is not just full with action and excitement (there are some serious nerve breaking scenes wondering what will happen next), lots of death and betrayal and some really decent character development and storyline.

Okay we get more Ben screen time and i have to say i hate him, but still i liked his role in the story and i admired how he grew up than the more annoying boy he was. Now, Tom and Anne are pretty much the same but at least they finally get their love story and the constant flirting stops. Cap. Weaver is as awesome as ever. He did got a little at my nerves previous season, but he stepped up and became one of my favorite characters. Though, my favorites one are Hal, Pope and Maggie. They are all a little more than secondary characters but they scenes brought me joy. They were by far the more interesting and badass characters.

The season finale gave it all. Definitely a step up against the first season finale. I'm pretty sure everyone at the end "what?seriously? what now". This time i'm excited for next season from the first minute this one ended. It was so good and i loved every episode of it. I just hope they do even better next year.
