Faster & The Chaperone, Review

After 10 years in prison, Driver has a singular focus - to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his imprisonment. Now a free man with a deadly to-do list in hand, he's finally on his mission...but with two men on his trail - a veteran cop just days from retirement, and a young egocentric hitman with a flair for the art of killing and a newfound worthy opponent. The hunter is also the hunted. It's a do or die race to the list's finish as the mystery surrounding his brother's murder deepens, and new details emerge along the way hinting that Driver's list may be incomplete.

REVIEW:
I need to give congrats to the creator of the film. It's the first time ever that i watch a 90 mins movie where the main character barely talks more than 5mins, without having a talking problem or something like it. Never happened to me before. As for the movie itself, it was okay. Something like 5/10. I was expecting something with cars from the title, but it was "who is the faster killer". Heh...And the end was easily predictable.
Worth mentioning: The Rock's acting wasn't much terrific but in a scene where he is afraid and sad i was "WOW". I've never seen so much emotion in him before. Also, it's the first time i literally fall in love with the bad assassin and not only that but i was wishing him to win. Lol..Carla Cugino is also part of the movie, and i will admit i didn't remember she was exist. She was okay.
I can't say you would lose something important by not watching it.

Ray Bradstone (Paul “Triple H” Levesque) is “the best wheel man in the business” – the bank robbery business, that is. Just out of prison, he is determined to go straight and be the best parent he can be to his daughter, Sally (Ariel Winter), and make amends with his ex-wife, Lynne (Annabeth Gish).

After trying everything he can do to re-connect with his family and struggling in vain to find honest work, his old bank-robbing crew, led by Phillip Larue (Kevin Corrigan), offers him one last job. He signs on as their getaway driver – only to change his mind at the last second. What prompts this change of heart is an opportunity: Sally is going on a class trip to the New Orleans Natural History Museum and Ray has been asked to be the chaperone. It’s his last chance to be the father he always wanted to be. Sally and her class are in for one of the craziest field trips ever.

REVIEW:
Yeah i know, i suck. The Rock is an acceptable WWE actor but Triple H...oh well..whatever..haha. Sooo, that movies is family comedy and i have to say it was fun. I mean not the best but it was nice! I liked it. Ariel Winter is a great actress and i really wanted to see her somewhere else than Modern Family. As for Triple H, he wasn't good. In Blade: Trinity i kinda liked him, the role suited him but here you could see he was out of his waters.
I don't believe that most of you will like to see it, but if you out of comedies you can try it. It's not as bad as it made you believe.

  3. Both seem like one-time watch comedies. I think I will give them a try.
